 "Rigby" is the name of a yard outside of Portland, Maine... about 20 minutes from Bar Mills.  While the actual yard has nothing in-common with this scene, it did provide the inspiration for us to magically connect the NYC with the Maine Central.... seemingly without passing through any other states on the way!  Make-believe?... fictional?... you bet... but don't forget the most important word... "FUN"... that's the one that matters most to us.
Note the waterfront scene... the abundance of wood-type structures, and the difference in the coloration of the trees from the rest of the layout...
we figured, if the railroad was suppose to travel great distances...
why use the same scenery techniques?
