the turn of the century right into the early 1960's there was no
shortage of boilers in homes & businesses around the country.
Stoves & boilers were, and because of rising energy costs, are
again major industries. Think of how many folks you know woth
wood, corn, coal or pellet stoves and it's easy to see that this is one
industry that seems to be doing as well (or better) than ever !
While we took a few "short
cuts" in finishing our own model (note the lack of window shades and
exterior wall mounted lamps) the kit itself has a wealth of
detail. Complete with exterior ventwork, plastic windows & a
unique laser-cut freight door, the simplicity of the kit design adds a
lot to its' charm. Kit includes white metal stairs, details, and
even some stoves to sit out on the loading dock.
Typical of small
industries throughout the country this classic design can be themed to
suit many purposes. While we call it a stove company it could as
easily be a machine shop, farm store, or any other type of revenue
generating business along a railroad line. Our special
pre-dristressed clapboards help to give it an aged appearance right out
